Welcome to the engineering page. Supporting classic aircraft is always a challenge and a labour of love, and our role in the club is to help owners in as active a way as possible to resolve difficulties that arise, help to source parts and specialist advice and to liaise with the regulatory authorities to ensure our aircraft can continue to be operated in a financially sustainable manner.
Some of the ways the club has helped so far include remanufacture of windscreens and door transparencies, undercarriage oleo seal kits, “matchmaking” between parts holders and owners and involvement in the availability of the EASA permit to fly for the Pup.
We still have any things in the pipeline, including talks with regulators and other stakeholders to facilitate various necessary solutions, including stick top testing/replacements for Pups and Bulldogs, the life extending wing spar mod for the Bulldog andharness replacements for both aircraft.
More will arise as time goes by and we will rise to the challenge. We are also in talks with EASA, the CAA and the LAA regarding the possibility of the Pup entering Annex 1 like the Bulldog, which would allow operation either on a national Certificate of Airworthiness, or on a LAA permit to fly.
We will add specific news items and updates here as they arrive, but please fell free to contact us in the meantime if you have any queries or problems.
